    sometimes in transit cable socket inside box comes off the boards,have a look through vents,as removing top may stop your warranty.unplugged of course.

    sv7 was working ok when it just died,no life menu nothing Cry found out some useful info that might help others follow below.

    If it's def. not scart, try AV/TV button on remote.
    Does LED on box flash when you press any K*y on remote.
    You can try this if you like;
    MENU
    Hit DOWN K*y
    RIGHT K*y
    DOWN K*y twice
    OK K*y twice
    keep pressing OK until red LED on box flashes
    thanks to eamo

    Plug box out for 2 mins then plug in again. Think it should show c113 on start up Make sure scart lead is OK. Then try TV/AV
    button on remote. If need be try revival trick with remote;
    MENU-DOWN-RIGHT-DOWN(2)-OK(2)
    Then do auto-scan
