Default opcom unable to read on pin 12

    Hi

    I've an astra Z22SE 2001.

my opcom is not able to read any device on pin 12 : airbag, instrument, CID, ....
    I don't know why.

    I have 090714 version.

with the demo version (serial and basic inteface), it works, so the probleme in not in my car.

    any idea?

PS : my laptop is really old and run under Windows 2000

Its it original op com or china op com if original contact op-com if china buy another as they dont cost a lot, it could be the relay inside the op-com not switching to pin 12

If it works with demo but not with delievered software, you can try other versions from this thread (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...2010-a-161300/).

082010 seems to be a good version, try it.

Or did i get it wrong and demo works only with a basic (kkl) cable and not with your op-com multiplexer?

Sorry for bold text, can't disable it atm.

the demo version works with a basic kkl interface, on a serial port, not with the opcom multiplexer.
So, the multiplexer may be bad... I just bought it, so I don't want to buy a new one

Maybe you can manually bridge pin 12 with pin 7 of your opcom (solder them together), if relay isn't working?
For fiat cars it is possible to connect pin 1 and 3 with 7. I don't know if that works for opel, if that can damage your car or interface or if opcom software works with such interface.
Maybe you can try it with a kkl cable first and switch pin 7 with 12 to see if it works.

This is only a guess, maybe someone can confirm or correct it?

    I made some test :

    try 090821D software : still doesn't work
try 082010 china software : still doesn't work

open the interface, ans cross the wire pin 7 and 12, Then :
    - diagnostic the engine (normally pin 7) and force the sofware to use pin 12 (because wire are cross) : Works -> so electronics and relay works
    - diagnostic instrument (normally pin 12) and force the sofware to use pin 7 (because wire are cross) : doesn't work

So, electronics and relays are Ok.

I'll try to reflash the Pic inside the interface, because I think there is a probleme in PW82 protocole (used on pin 12)

Hello, mates. In such a case, can try to re-solder all relays or replace them with the new one, that go to 8 and 12 pin or the easiest, connect 8 and 12 pins together.Everything works as usual.Regards.

I have a similar problem. Do you have any pics of this resistor?

Are you sure it's safe to change it to a much lower value?

    hi hello,

I have the same problem with my op-com clone.
but I cannot locate R32 on the circuit board.
    I can find all other resistors R1 ... R29 but there?s no R32.
Can anybody help, maybe with a photo ?

    many thanks.

filou: Your PCB is green or yellow?
If is green is old type, so in this case change ULN2003A

Ok I tried it with 560 Ohm Resistor on R3, but it doesn't work.
Does anyone know, where I can buy a OP-COM with a running PIN 12?
    Best Regards
