    Default Wireless Network Connection

I recently got a 3g modem. The internet is now working across all computers in my house except the main one. The problem is that I cannot find the wireless network connection button on the computer? When you click connect to all my old ways of connected to the internet come up but the "wireless network connection" does not come up as it does in all of the rest of the computers. This means that the computer cannot connect wirelessly to the net. Why is this and more importantly how can one fix it?

Just a silly question, does the PC have a wireless dongle/card?

To be honest I don't know how can you find out if it has or does not have one?

do you mean router and not modem?my understanding would be that a 3g modem is a usb stick with a sim in it which would only allow one pc/laptop to connect at a time. if you mean router then your pc isnt wireless enabled and will need an ethernet cable. youtube has loads of vids on the subject. hope this helps. merry xmas

Cut the story short desktop computers do not have a wireless connections unless you fit one with a wireless card or you can have USB Wireless TP link connected to your PC.

Oh right I never knew that most pcs don't have wireless receivers. Would one of these be sufficient to make my pc wireless?

That will do it, but it's a bit expensive. Here's the cheaper side... Wi-fi dongle

And here's what I use... only with a 17dbi antenna.. High gain

Thanks for the info Canker Canison but do you have to buy both items in order to make the pc wifi enabled? And also what is the second product for?
