if i was you i'd try another image. ive noticed that the network settings fall into place a little easier in some than others, even when i'm doing the exact same thing.

    try pli jade 3.

also this may sound easy but make sure dhcp is set turn off your router then turn off the dreambox. turn router back on and once connected turn back on dreambox. I know this has worked for me in the past.

why have you connected it to the laptop..???

connect it to the router or it will never find it

log into your router.. if the router fails to find it then either your router is faulty or your port on the dreambox is.. as you have posted this problem on 2 other sites and have had all the required info to fix posted back, if its still not working by now take it as ~~~~ed..

reflash it with gemini 4.2 in the downloads section... flash an erase image first

Have you tried a differant router? Looked for firmware update for the router?

Turn DCHP on in the box save then power off
    Power off router
    Wait 2 minutes.
    Power box
    Then power router.
Go make a brew or grab a cold one.
Check to see what IP you have then.

That fails. Manually assign IP address in the box and yurn DCHP OFF.
    Power both off again
Power back on and see if its assigned

if you cant get the box to work in your router, but you have managed to get another box to work with your router its pretty obvious the network card on the box is shagged..

try flashing an erase image, then download Gemini 4.2 from the download section here, if it still wont work then it's deffo ~~~~ed

    netmask 255.255.255.0
nameserver, gateway 192.168.2.1 and dns of 192.168.2.1
then save and reboot the box and check its saved then see if dcc connects using 192.168.2.8 or type http://192.168.2.8 in your web browser and see if you get in.

Input details as you mentioned it would not connect via dcc , same error message .
I also put ip into browser but that would not let me into anything ( couldnot display page )
