I 'm very confused about the "infinite" number of chinese traders around the very cheap elm327 interface, if it is working or not,
either by ddt2000 or other diagnostic software.
I know that, for my megane2, it is enough the ELM323 chip. So is that working or not with ddt2000? If not is there a diy circuit in the net? In opposite what is the best diagnostic soft for ELM323?

Can I read with diagnostic software the engine specifications (like type K4Jxxx), as the engine label is missing.

I tryed ELM323 based iface on a reno, it didn`t work at all. No chance to work with ddt2000, elm323 - elm327, specific wrtten sw for those ifaces like Proscan, elmscan, and so on net is full of sw for elm based.
But no chance on renos, good for american cars like ford, GM ...
Cheap iface, cheap work, cheap scrap that elm - and very old ,...

in my megane2 saloon (LM1S) I connect my multimeter to the obd socket, as frequency meter, so after press the engine start button, on pin 7 I see some "bursts" of data, on pin 15 nothing, and on pin 6 a frequency around 220Hz and on pin 14 a frequency around 6.7kHz. After that I guess that my car ecu uses iso and can protocol. Is that true?
