    Default VCDS 10.6 PROBLEM

    HI
    I just got my VAG-COM interface 10.6

    but when I wanted to try the interface I have this problem

    port status : ok
    interface:found
    type:ross-tech HEX-USB
    Status: not plugged into car

    Where did you get it from, is it original, if so contact Ross-Tech. If you look at the top of the word doc it got:

    VCDS Beta 912.0:

    Also check you have +12 on pin 16 and -12 earth on pin 4 of your cars DLC

    Well it maybe a stupid question but was it plugged into the car with the ignition turned on?

    If its a genuine Ross-Tech lead there is a green led that lights up when its plugged in without been plugged into the laptop showing its been powered.

    You still have power on DLC even with ignition off

    Well it won't hurt to turn the ignition on as it needs to be on for any tests.
