    I've been following a conversation on another forum about this unit. It has been said that the code is not stored in memory in the changer, but in a separate unit stored elsewhere in the car.. (under a seat or in the boot) (part of the overall system maybe?)

    Your dump looks remarkably similar to what was posted (24C01). But, the code is stored in 24S32 elsewhere.....

    I'll PM you the forum addess link for you to look at, as it is against DK rules to post forum links of similar content to the board. ( may make more sense to you)

    Sorry, let me enter this discussion:

    example:

    ALR92S40285
    020366
    8200089153 -- A
    PN
    MH9RN92S
    ALR92S31240285
    8200089153 T F714
    ==================================

    So, this sytem has 2 codes: 1 for RENAULT head unit and the 2nd one for Alpine CD Changer.

    The security number F714 is for Renault head unit and code F714=3179 would not work for Apline CD changer right?

    i.e. the code for Alpine head unit is calculated from Alpine serial: ALR92S31240285... right?

    Now tell me please, which code is required when you first time switch the radio after disconnecting a car battery for example?

    Also, I would appreciate if somebody could provide me with original serials and codes for Alpine CD changer units only:
    like this:

    ALR92S31240285=????

    I would hate to interfere with the creation of a new code calculator but I still need a code for this beast.

    Take the picture from arik and read dump like bonus2010 said:

    I have the same information from another forum, code is stored in separate unit "elsewhere..."

    You will have a code and we will get the first good and original example of serial=code of Apine CD changer

    Apparently there is a version 2 Renault calc and that is what should be used to calc the code. Only one person seems to have it.
