hi i have this tool with version 3.86 having some trouble writing bmw edc17 anybody have experience with this??

Mine with 3.83 with no problems writing edc17 on bmw.....

Yes, some problems may occur at (M)EDC17 with version 3.86. But, you can always use 3.83 version.

Here are 3.73 and 3.86.

Remember, do not use 3.86 if you have a 3.73 version!!!

Hi, Im joining the club with dead 3.73. Strange, as it was never plugged to the laptop when wifi was on. would the software kill it on its own without user agreeing to the update being downloaded?

Run your pwg software, and check the version.
You may have used 3.83 and 3.86 by mistake.

Im getting 'configuration error' and then big No '2' on the screen regardless whether the device is plugged into OBD2 or USB.
