Default OPCOM help, reset ECU - PICS

    Hi,

Ever since I reset the ECU (dont ask me why) there is no communication with the climate control (freezin air)

I think this was the cause, why did I reset the ECU? dont ask

Also, I somehow made the HIDs work at that time, (I for some stupid reason played with it)

ever since then Ive had these two problems, no air conditioning and the spanner light on my dash, now however I am slightly better with OP-COM but would still like to know the following if you could help me,

HID - how do I enable them to work and disable them to work (although I enabled it)

    Warning/Spanner light: http://www.diagnostics.org.uk/wp-conten ... panner.jpg

And the climate control/air conditioning: please follow the pics:

AND also, I know people say, to find the security code go to Body, Instrument and read the eeprom, how do I find the security code on the astra H
and does reseting the ECU have a bad effect?

thanks in advance, I hope others get help from this too,

    Hello,

About your car, what kind of A/C unit is built-in?

Manual A/C, programming is done in ECM, and UEC.
If you have this kind of A/C, it cannot be diagnosed with the OP-COM program.

Full electronic A/C, this is the so called ECC, it needs to be programmed in ECM, UEC, DIS, ECC.

Semi-automated A/C, this is the so called SAC, it needs to be programmed in ECM, UEC, SAC.

In the ECM, you have to programme the clutch type, in UEC, you need to programme the A/C type (see the above three possibilities), in the DIS, you need to programm the ECC (if you have) as part of the MSCAN network. Also, you can set the varaint coding, and code index in the corresponding ECC/SAC module.

For the programming, you need the vehicle security code, for programming the UEC variant configuration. This can be read from the carpass, or you can get if from the dealer for a small fee.

Only you can tell us what type of A/C you have. Or take a picture of the heater controls and post it here.

So exactly which ECU did you reset?

The heater panel in the picture is for manual A/C. There is no control unit on this system that can be interrogated or reset with OpCom.

Does the engine start and run? Any other problems other than the A/C?

Can you remember which ECU you were connected to when you reset? There are several that can be reset by entering the security code!

Have you checked the AC system for loss of refrigerant, or blown fuses?

If you access the engine ECU and look at the measuring blocks, is the state of the A/C request signal changing when you press the A/C button?

Also check for actual wiring or other electrical faults with the radiator fan.
