    Default gilinx.exe

    Hi Guys
I ve been infected with gilinx.exe
It has created shortcuts of all my folders that does not exit
i can see by looking at the size of the file that the data is still there.
if i try rename it ,iam told the path or filename is incorrect or does not exist
please advise if there is a remedy
    regards

    Default Solution to Gilinx virus

As mentioned this virus changes folders to invalid shortcuts.
I found a way to retrieve my data by using easy recovery software. I selected disk diagnostics and then size manager which allowed me to see that the data was still there , then copied it to a new location .easy
    thanks regards
