    Default Merc e220cdi non starter

    Hi

Got this one in as a non starter..

Key turns but not cranking. If I'll press starter relay by hand and hold the key to crank starts..

Looks like a relay module to me but anyone had this before? Apart from p1330 under the engine no fault codes..EZS seems to be fine..

    Hi guys

    all fuses checked and fine..
Car is manual so no inhibitor switch..

Can I just borrow a starter relay module from another one to try it on or it has to be codded in?

I can ask a mate to come down if another one can be tryed on.

    Cheers

Tryed a good known relay module and still no good. Is the EZS the only culprit or engine ECU has anything to do with starting at all?

Looking at a autodata wiring diagram look like ecu involved too..
    Cheers

    Mate,

If you have SD handy, just check in EZS if term50 gets activated when you turn key in to "start engine" position.

To start engine EZS will have to get OK from ESL and from ECU.
What is the status of ECU in EZS authorisation values?

Having grief with this one mate..Narrow it down to ECU or ESL but how can I be sure?

Checked all wiring and fine..also considering the history of the car (battery going flat every few days) I wouldn't consider a wiring problem.

Gonna plug in again 2moro to re check everything..can't even remember actual values ..
After tomorrow going on a short ski holiday so I'll keep ya updated when back on Tuesday.

    Regards
