what i have found out today , trying some clips damaged on some laptops was that. Was asking firmware and stuck at 20% and i tried on clip v95 but on different laptops.
On dell D620 worked fine and not asking firmware,on other HP and Asus laptops , same V95, did not. stuck.
So i think also the usb of laotops is lazy on some laptops.
Dell d620 is great cool laptop .
but other clips did not work at all even on D620, some worked , some not.
so still the motorola freescale is problem in clip . The mcu its fake, manufactured who knows where... thats cause.

I have met this problem also for vagcom, have fake atmega 162, not good chip. even erase and reprogramm via HVPP, the fuse bits were not working and cannot be set. so vagcom not working properly on some protocols.
changing the Atmega with an original manufactured one, vagcom worked fine.

    THanks me !
