Default Help Mercedes Start Error discussion

When I searched for a Start Error fix there are lots of opinions on how to actually do it.

So far as I understand the problem:

Start Error is a displayed fault that means start authorisation is denied for some reason eg: Immo Ecu lost synch after battery removal.

Then the opinions all split over how to fix:
    1) dump immo and "fix"
    2) dump immo And ECU and "fix" both
    3) dump immo "repair"and virgin ECU then match with star

Are there many causes for the Start Error?
Do the different hardwares require a different fix?
Does each cause corrupt a different module?
Does each fix represent a different cause?

If anyone could shed some light on the causes and cures for this I would be grateful (sprinter to do next wk)

1 vote for option #3 then.

don't you need SCN access to code a virgin ECU?

For: W168 W210 Vito 639 you do not need SCN.
You can (re)code the control unit. Please read out the motor code first or lookup the motor code in EPC
And you should write down the injector classification (diesel)

I use MB ecu to syncronize with wsp so far is working for me,also I use Immo Decoder 2, and works also, I think there is varius way of doing this, I did not use MB STAR, dont need to with this software.

Wsp must be functioning if it is damage then this dont work, I was lucky to have wsp in good working order.

ifsomenoen have experienced a fault with oil pressure sensor and common rail high pressure or other faults after repairing , please let us know, I dont know if this sprinter have this problems before or it was cause by the software repair??????

Well good luck and keep feeding info on this topic.alguna sugerencia o pregunta send a PM
