    Default XProg-m... 12volt input...Do i need it?

Yes, simple and stupid question. I haven't used the xprog yet. The software does see the unit. But do I need an extra 12 volts source to read/write chips?

    Thanks,
    Cozz

It seems to be a matter of wich kind of chips are you trying to read/write but only the practice will give you a clue.
but in the mean time if you have any problem without 12volt. source, plugin one and retry.

    Regards
