read the article again without your manc slight on it, this happened when the former owners were in charge, since then things have changed for the better and he has publicly stated he's very happy at liverpool and he has NEVER had a buy out clause in his contract
I have read it with my own eyes, it has been well said he has a contract clause in his contract of ?20 million, your old owners would of grabbed the money 100% and you know them well enough to take money before even thinking about LFC, Arsenal spending ?20 million on him is a joke, we all know Wenger does not part with that sort of cash for a goal keeper.

He is like any player all they want is their team to move foward and if they don't show the will and how then they move on to one that will. I Glad he didn't leave cause Pepe is the best keeper in the prem and third best in the world. Liverpool would have a hard time replacing him if he left.
@andy although you are right our own owners were cash hungry bafoons but like it says in the article they didn't want to put off potential buyers of the club by selling our best players. Also his wife persuaded him to stay again in Jan.
Reina loves the club and the fans and just wants us to reach the dizzy heights we once were. He's seen the improvements that are being made under the new regime and the money thats being spent.
Saying this if we fail to get a top 4 position this season i think he will leave, he wants to play in the CL hes been saying for so long. But if he does i don't think it will be for a Prem club hes seen Torres his mate have a bad time at Chavski and the fact that there are no loyal fans in the league like the support he has at Anfield. Also the club that offered 20 mill Arsenal are having a hard time themselves and they have a good goalkeeper in Scezni.
Looking forward to this weekends clash with the Mancs.
Hope we are positive and attack them when possible also very important we press them as they are a very good counter attacking team to.
Gerrard to return should give us that extra lift and suarez will cause them havoc.
Come on King Kenny!!!!!!!

If you tremble with indignation at every injustice then you are a comrade of mine
I love and hate these games equally. A massive game for both clubs and one of the biggest in Sport.
THE TRUTH
The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12
Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
Not fear m8.. but anticipation yes.
Jeez i love these games, as i just said in the Utd thread, you dont have to sell these games,
This is what it's all about,
I'm showing my age here now but..
When you lot were winning all and sundry back in the 70's and 80's, Utd seem to have the upper hand regarding the one-on-one games..
Now that the tables have turned Liverpool seem to have the upper hand.
Our respective City rivals "think" the biggest game of the year is the local derby... Yeah right!!
Game on![]()
1 more sleep.....
I am obsessed with Liverpool Football Club, I think you are too !
