Well, every manger has a plan???
Whether it works or not is a different matter, its all and well blaming players bottom line is someone has to take responsibility??
Otherwise we would have chaos, don't get me wrong would love to see Kenny succeed due to him being a red and all he did for us.
However, this season is not what I expected and was hoping to see the team click after Jan, this has failed to materialise.
At the end of the day, we all have opinions for Kenny the most important opinion is what the owners think!
Sorry mate but only one guy won if for us that night and that was Super G not rafa !!

How can a manager possibly not have a say in the players he wants to sign This is football not baseball or hockey. Every manager at every club should be the one to choose what players he signs.

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

I suppose if you are looking at players on the pitch that influenced the game, than Stevie G did the business.
However to dismiss Rafa's input would be inept, clearly in first half we were shown to be a pub team due to wrong tactics used etc.
It was Rafa that gave the team belief in second half to win it and made the relevant changes, which than influenced the game.
All managers make mistakes, its how they rectify them and for me Rafa had a massive input in our win without a shadow of a doubt.
Hence his legendary folk hero status among most Liverpool fans!
Getting back to now a tough game awaits us tomorrow, if we start with the correct tempo and are tight at the back, we should win!
Also depends who will start and hope Carrol plays!

    Hi

Im with Bulldog on this, the manager of a team has to be the one who decides which players he wants in the team/squad that he is trying to build, how can someone else tell the manager who to sign and who not to sign.

Isnt this where some of the troubles with Rafa started, someone would tell him to sign players he didnt want..... keane as an example.

    Regards

You watch it again and pay particular attention to Carraghers performance on the night and the saves by Dudek and tell me Gerrard won it single handed

Yes i do think he will get us champions league next season and if it wasn't for poor finishing this season we would have had it next season.

Other clubs can imitate Chelsea and not give their managers a chance, that's upto them. Dalglish has the backing of the vast majority of the fans not because of his name as some would have you believe but because we have improved on the field. As a side note he has achieved more in his first season back than some "top" managers will during their whole career.

That is very misleading and have argued with Mancs to death on other boards regarding this.
His net spend was approx ?20-?30 million and did a good job in always getting us into champions league except last season, with all the inhouse issues.
Rafa may have messed up the title in that season but bear in mind Mancs had allot of games in hand.
We lost some silly games we should have won ie Middlesborough etc our Achilles heel for approx 2 decades now.
In saying that no manger has come closet to wining the league in 20 + years.
As rafa would say FACT LOL :O)

I agree with your comments on Rafa's spending. It's the papers who spout the bullshit about managers and joe public swallow it more often than not.
Benitez had his chance. He had five years but failed to win us the League, his time has been and gone.

I had my reservations about Dalglish coming back, he had his time and moved on. He is the manager now and should be given at least another season. He has the backing of the people that matter and hopefully of the owners too. It would be a massive mistake to bring Benitez back, ever.

Don't get me wrong mate, I am not advocating for Rafa to come back just highlighting certain misconceptions people have mainly rival fans and media.
Was over the moon to see Kenny back as remember the great counter attacking, wing play, pass and move, long ball.
That team had it all a super team that would have won more European cups, if not for ban.
This season I predicted we would not get top 4 (earlier posts) due to not enough quality for me and rivals having better squads.
What I did expect was a better challenge for fourth, for me if the owners do decide to stick with Kenny, he has to deliver champions league no excuses next season.
If we can win Fa cup, the owners may well decide best to give him another season.
However, if we don't I believe he will be removed from his position.

    Hi

The media made Rafa look bad and has been mentioned his net spending was more near the 30 mill mark. He had to operate with his hands tied behind his back and had these owners been there earlier think he would have delivered. I was sad to see him go but at the time felt Rafa couldnt take us any further.

Was over the moon when kk came in and have to say I felt top 4 was possible and although the results havent gone our way the football is a lot better as times before I would fall asleep watching.

Think even if we win the fa cup I think kk is going to be moved upstairs at end of season even though my personel view is that he shoud have another season..... you cant change things around the way hes had to in just a season and a half.

    Regards

The media are anti Liverpool due to an era watching Mancs dominate, you just have to see some of sky sports interviews and comments to see this.
Kenny looks tired to me and maybe now realising how big the rebuilding job is.
In saying that, in defense of Kenny it took Blackburn a number of seasons to win the league, think it was 4 not sure and in his first season lost alot of games.
