Many thanks for your prompt reply JBVID... cabling and setting is ok as other 2 dm500s have signal at over 80%... it is just a weak tuner that with my incredubility look like does not exist but 1 of the other two is the same and work at 90% signal.... Yes i have flashed sfteam images but same problem start with the sfteam initial screen in B/W and then i couple of grey noisy then black screen... no light and cannot ping.... only noticed that 2 light of network are steady on but there is no3rd flashing light.. I feel is a problem with the video output... does anyone know which IC control the video output please ?

Can't help much on the internals of the faulty tuner box, may be time to think about a replacement if you need 2 or 3 good working ones, take a look at the post by Alun above, the clones are cheap enough.

ive seen again mine flash and its an JS28F640 so i can flash with DOS flash

but now i can not flash it says INTEL Unknown
and stops after Erase Flash Done

=/

and i cant do nothing more plz HELP!

plz help guys

Why not try the 'jtagwin5xxx' (Windows version) in the downloads section??

because i cant get connection with him =/
ive tried so much times and never getted connection
some guy on other forum said to me, to disconnect the ground when the program stops at

Erase Flash Done

and then reconnect

lets see what will happen tomorow i will test that

You should be able to get a connection if you keep trying different delay times or try it on another PC.

Marcelo, it is enough to read my post....

like you, i could not connect with windows program and then what i did? i read 34 post and that gave me the solution as naother bloke suggetsted..... My p3 500mhz was too fast!!!!!. I run the antivirus which slowed down the pc and connected straight away... it would be better if you have a 166mhz pc!

SO what are u waiting for! ??

HI guys i have a dream 500s its bootloader was dead i manage to get the restore the boot loader with the jtag but now i have a problem connect the box to the dream up. this is what im doing and step 6 whats happening. its getting stuck it should go to step 7 and let me flash the image. if any one can help please i be thank full to you all.

1, i connect the cable
2, i click the connect button on the dreamup
3, the dream up says connection prepared connect the box
4, then i power up my box
5, then the dream up sasy uploading flash loader,
6, the status bar show its done at the bottom of tht status bar it says " upload completed waiting for acknowledge"
7, Dreamup should say box attached and ready and the flash button will also be ready to use but this never happens it gets stuck at step 6
the dream up gets stuk just before the message "box attached and ready" i cant click on the button where it says flash the dream up does not go to the point

what cable are you using this time mate...? I think you need to use a null modem cable now..

i used a null modem cable for dreamup many times and not found any problem.

i just found a problem first time.

Try a different null modem cable, then another PC, you are not getting a ''connection'' to send data to dreambox , hence 'waiting for acknowledgement'.
You could first make sure correct com port selection is active in Device manager and same as dreamups, and try different versions of Dreamup
