There's now a guide, pictures and all the tools you need to JTAG your DM500.

You will need these tools if your clone has been zapped by the Gemini 4.3.1 image.

Untested by myself, don't use Gemini

hi

all works fins but when i click on write the program quits and nothing happens ? any idea why is it doing that ?

The connections are:

LPT————–> Dreambox/Clone

2 –> 100 ohms –> 11 ( Halt)

3 –> 100 ohms –> 9 ( Tms )

4 –> 100 ohms –> 7 ( Tck )

5 –> 100 ohms –> 3 ( Tdi )

11 –> 100 ohms –> 1 ( Tdo )

25 —————— 16 ( Ground)

Th pins 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 e 25 of the port LPT must be shunted between themselves, like commercial jtags has.

all the connections are correct usinf 100 ohm program connects fine and indentify cpu and flash ,but still when i click on write ,the program quits and nothing is written to the dm500 .what could be the problem ?

nothing ...... it disapears after few seconds and dont write the flash right ....

It seems a though no one has been able to get it working successfully !!

unfortunately it's a grey area. no-one is going to brick their box on purpose just so they can try and JTAG it.

If you have a dead box then you are simply going to have to persevere and hopefully you'll be a mentor to others.
