WIS net problem! Please help!

Hi Guys!

I've downloaded WIS 2010/07

2 DVD version:

- WIS_0710_1of2
- WIS_0710_2of2


I've installed the EWA net from i:\ewa\Setup.exe

It installed the EWANET. I've followed the guide here:

And I've done everything which is written down there (except the workshop data settings as under the workshop tab it does not show anything).

Then I've installed the WIS net database as per instructions.

(no EPC naturally as I do not have that)




Now here are the problems:


1. There's no EWA net under Start->Programs I can only load EWA net from the Internet Explorer's favourites

2. when I launch EWA net, login and then load WIS/ASRA net it loads the main page, but it seems like there's no database at all behind

3. I've checked EWA admin tool, and under the WIS net tab it shows the red light and says:

"The WIS net database is stopped"

When I click on "Start" it does nothing.




I use Windows Vista operating system.

All kind of help grately appreciated!

sorry for being a bit impatient, but I would urgently need wiring diagram for a Smart Fortwo

(and I'm not even sure whether Smart is in or not!)

Uninstall EWA net!
reboot

stop permanently User account control/UAC/,...from user account menue.

reboot

install ewa net and all the bases as is mentioned into the guide!

although I tried stopping UAC firts, and it was not necessary to reinstall!

already printed around 40 pages of SMART CDI wiring diagram :S
