2d47j reading in circuit

Does anyone know if its safe to read 2D47J ews2 & ews3 in circuit with omega orange? I know they read on board fine but got a couple to do later would save me a bit of time if i could read in circuit.

if you buy the omega kit don't you get the in circuit lead for the EWS?
The mask number is written on the ribbon

yes its safe to read it in circuit. (EDITING : sorry its not safe mask with 2dxxx must read it onboard.......)

Thanks for that yes you do get the ribbon but its specified for use on ews3 with 0d46j which made me think there may be an issue with the security on the 2d47j last thing i wanted to do was kill the chip.

The lead is only for EWS 3, and it is NOT safe to read 2D47J in circuit.
Even on board 2d47J success rate is only about 90%.

Agree DO NOT read 2d47j in circuit with omega you will erase EEPROM. Take it out and use skip security.

so sorry i confirm to PARAPILOT its not safe by Omega to read EWS3 with mask 2dxxx in circuit its safety to read it onboard. but mask with 0dxxx u can read it in circuit with no problem.
