Default Few questions for new user

    Hi All

Im new here and looking at getting DM600 for my motor home.
I have experiance with "The box" & Starview so know about upgrading etc however that was a few year ago and on cable.

I have been looking at the dreambox because:

    A) It runs from 12v!
& B) I can use my sky card number on it for my premium channels. I have a full sky world sub & multiroom so would just take the multiroom card with me so i can still record on my HD box downstairs while im away.

So my first question is what is the software called that will allow me to use my sky card to get the premium channels. I assume i still need the card in it or if i just program the number in will it work without the card?

2nd question, How close can you get it to a sky box? Do you get an EPG over the sat? Obviously i cant connect it to the internet when im away.
Thats another thing, How long do i need before i have to connect it to a computer? I mean i dont want to go away for a couple of weeks to find it needs updating half way though the trip when i have no PC with me. It would leave me with no channels!

Thanks for any help in advance.
    Mat
