I hear the POI's for version 7.7 have changed. Will this converter work, is it just filename change?

I do not have the latest version so I don't know if it will work for you.

Default full reply for Mc Guider 7.7 users

McGuider 7.7 (2009) and Sygic Mobile 2009 use a unique database format for their custom POIs with the extension .UPI. Unfortunately it is slightly different to the format used in McGuider 7.5 (2008) and Sygic Drive so the previous instructions and software do not currently work.

Sygic (the programmers behind McGuider) have released a convertor to create UPI files from tab delimited text files of the right format. It only supports a single file conversion at a time but it does support command line options which allow batch files.

    here is the new translator

Sorry but how do I download this attachment? Looked in FAQs and no help...

I am using Firefox running under Ubuntu - when I click on the attachment, I get a blank new browser window and there don't seem to be any relevant options when I right-click...

Sorry for being a pleb - any help appreciated...
