Default tasmanian tree fern dead i think

Loooks like my tree fern is dead or dying it hasnt produce any new fronds and the middle is full of gunk that smells like cider

any tips on if its dead or can it be saved i heard you can chop them up and they re spawn but i dont know if that was real or in a dream

its a shame cos it looks really good when its all open and is an excellent feaature in the garden i have had it 4 years with no problems

i did have a palm tree in the same spot a year or 2 back i paid a fortune for it looked the business and that died too

    Unhappy

    Hi
Looks like one for the bin.
Two winters like in the "old" days have finihed off plenty of plants.
If you get another, in autumn stuff the top with staw and tie it up with horticultural fleece.
    Hope this helps.
