i don`t have any problem with all devices from list. i work on hc11 (secured too), hc05, mpc, hcs12, hcs12x, hc908, micronas, st10, st7, atmel, national and tms. all work ok.if you have any problem, please tell me. i test and repair if i can. i have 2 xprog, 1 green and 1 blue, in my workshop i have 2 blue pcb. 1 is upgrade to xprog box. this too have problem write hc05 from ezs (Mercedes). new sw in my xprog dont solved this problem. only hw mods.

yesterday i make new ir key to merceds and i need write motorola hc 05. my xprog don`t write. now its ok
yellow man have many factory, i see 6 version of hw xprogm. all different.
it`s not 100% clone. atmel and other programable devices is clone, but other is different

Yes same as I say my is in big plastic box and blue pcb same as you post - identical. It was v4.5 when I get it.I was have a lot problem's and I was update to v5 FW and now work all but was have a lot problem's with HC05 and 908 but I was fix Vpp level and at moment I was add your mod.Now it work all what I tested ( I tested 80%) of devices.I will report if any shit I find.

    Many thank's for
new sw in my xprog dont solved this problem. only hw mods
I also think all about new FW is also only good game to get money ...It is not big money but as you look XprogM is on end of cariere as programmer and many new tool comming on market...

If someone ask me I never give big amount money for ORI tool like XprogM because it it too expensive for what it do.

If you look UpaUSB is maybe the best tool on market like balanced beat win cost and what it offer.

    My best regard's

P.S Maybe I am wrong but that I think

Hello, yesterday I received my X-PROG clone from China, I bought it from Ecutool.

I tested it with a HC05B6 (mask 3D33J) and it read perfectly but I had same issue, DO NOT WRITE.

I opened the box and it have the GREEN PCB, therefore this problem is not on Blue PCB only.

I tested voltage on pin Vpp1 and when programming is also inconsistent and between 2-6v

I did the mod in the first post, and use a BC547 with a 100 ohms resistor on base and the voltage improved to 7-10v but STILL don't write on 80% of tries, a NPN transistor appear to not be a good fix.

I soldered back the original transistor (mosfet) and added a 100 Kohms resistor between gate and source pin, thats the problem, ALL mosfet transistor have a very high impedance and need a resistor or a solid conection made by the driver to source or gnd to prevent the gate get a floating voltage, I can't believe the Chinese designer overlook this !!!

Final Fix for this issue and working 100% stable on each try:

Add a Resistor of 100kohms between gate and source

    I attach a picture.

Don't forget to press the Thanks button if resolve your issue.

    Best Regards.

    @RMCtech

I tray before mod, and can read sometimes and write only with errors!

Final Fix for this issue and working 100% stable on each try on HC705B32 GOOD.

I put a 100K SMD on the legs.

    einet
    thanks

    SUPERB thanking you
i have a xprogm with green pcb always had read and write errors with HCO5
    blamed the adapters
its the first time i got past bypas security

did the 100 kohm smt resistor method (smt resistor 104 )
and it now reads and writes tried 10 chips i had form boards mostly from vauxhall immo readers
all read an wrote without fault
amazed and chuffed again cheers ...

Are you trying to write a hc05h12 CPU as HC05B16 ?

If you read and write a Peugeot 206 dashboard CPU you need to use the correct cpu and mask, its the MC68HC05H12(0H57A) option in the Xprog device menu.

I eventually had a bit of time today to finally get my blue PCB Xprog-m working with HC05 etc. I found a DTE143 smd digital transistor in an old Blaupunkt Boston RCR128 radio/cassette (it is marked E23 - bottom of pcb near the LM317) to replace the original smd transistor. Quite interesting watching the scope trace of the charge pump on the VPP1 pin. It peaks at 20v in between the individual writes now.

On another note - I had never got any joy whatsoever with the HC05 adapter that came with Xprog-m. The reason being that the idiot that soldered the socket on the PCB put it on 90 degrees out. Jees.

I just need to get it a bit more stable with regard to the verify errors now.

Hello! I am new user Xprog-m.
I have problem with MC68HC11F1VFN4 (E87J) from Marelli Ecu IAW 8F.5T. (I try in Circuit Program) I take Message : Device is Silent. Time Out Error.
    knows someone what happens?
If I put a Resistor of 100kohms between gate and source, i solve my problem?

    Not.
    Check ModA, and ModB pins.

What xprog-box version you are use? I use V5.3.5 with xprog plastic enclosure (green) and HC05X all OK. Before update of xprog (V5.0) HC05X don't write eeprom.
