All i can suggest is to flash the box with an older firmware and see if that helps

Hi lads n lassies. I am loading the software for a friend on a starview one but on the download, there is 2 files and I am not sure which one to use? Also, I am not sure if it is a clone box? Can i tell by looking at the remote control? Cheers all

If you are unsure use the Cryptstar257 bin, as it is fine for both clone and genuine boxes.

There should be two files with this. Use the core 257 bin for clones (you can use the 257 for legit as well). Dont use the 400 bn on clones though.

OBrien what do you mean all weird?

Excellent work with this new BIN file! Got it loaded onto the box grand. No channels coming in though when doing auto scan

    Box: Starview 1 Original
    Location: Tullamore, Offaly, Midlands Ireland
Provider: UpeeC (ch0ru$ and NteaL merger)
Problem: No channels / radio stations after scan on NteaL provider

It was working in Dublin but i recently moved. I am presuming i need a channel dump file for Midlands Ireland - does anyone have one?

    Ta much!

Is it an MMDS feed or cable? Is there a mesh aerial on your roof?

Not too familiar with all of this but...

Almost positive it is cable - how would I tell if MMDS?

Again, almost positive there is no aerial on the roof (i wasnt in the house when the UpeaC guys called) but will check tonight

I spoke to a guy I know over there and he is almost sure it is MMDS or it may still be analogue only. Best checking a bill it will say what type of service they are providing you with.

Do you have a box supplied to you by UP*? If so is it a Sagem or Pace? Check underneath if it says ITD on the label it is MMDS.

    Well, checked last night.

It is a Pace box - couldnt see anything related to ITD.

I have an invoice type sheet that has checkboxes for Network, Signal, Frequency, Level Tap etc. I have scanned it so i can send it to your email if you PM your address to me?.

From what i can see cable is checked for network, signal is QAM Tap Vaule is 4/11? But i could be reading this all wrong!

I have sent you an address to send it to, may I have someone I know in that general direction take a look at it?

AFAIK it is Chorus but may still be analogue, but I will come back with a definitive answer once I relay your info.
