Configuration files

A few pages back someone said it was possible to run two version of these cracks on one computer . By changing the location of the configuration files . How is this done ?

is there any way to make a project or map pack (.kp) backward comtatible or readable for a older version?

e.g. v1.500 wants to read projekt or map pack from 1.7 or newer demo version?

ihave the problem thaht the keyboard shortcuts are not working (ie. shift+%).

but I've some little problems... installed on windows xp sp3, starts perfectly but can't save the project, when edit the project data an error without specification appear, and the same happens when I click "OK" ...

works perfectly, currently I have the two versions installed..will remove the older one when i make sure the newer is rock solid
