Default Caterpillar comm adapter cable diagram

I need CAT comm adapter cable diagrams in order to try continuity and to connect to ECM and machines I dont have the adapter.
I have a similar diagrams from Cummins manuals but I think they are different, so if anyone can share this I will be very happy. This is that I need to know wich pin of the 9-pin cable are for batery energy, wich are for J1939 information, wich are for J1708 information and so. The same hapens with the other cables.
    Thanks in advance.

Its ok, Data link is J1708, the use depends on the equipment but the interface recognizes the one it has. I've barely seen it on caterpillar, they always use CAT data link trough J1939. you do have comm adapter 3 but you dont have the connector? or wich is the problem?

I have all connectors but Im trying to connet to a ECM taken off the engine and I dont know if I have to use J1939 or J1708 because is an old ECM (3116E).
So I needed to know where I have to connect
    Any recommendations when doing this?

Hello friend, I am new with the use of nexiq, you would have a detail of each pin of the Nexiq connector, I know that pin 08 is the positive battery and pin 06 negative of the battery, the others I am in doubt, especially the Data Link . Thank you
