Fix For Error 8882
Use loader GTROM-V25 loader
1. Connect RS232 Null Modem cable between PC & Max 232 Adaptor
2. Open the lid of your sv4 and look directly behind the USB you will see a 4 Pin connector
Looking at this from front view pin 1 = vcc+ Pin2 =TX Pin 3 = RX Pin 4= Ground
3. Using your max232 Adaptor connect the Wires to corosponding pins Vcc to vcc Tx to Tx Rx to Rx Ground To Ground
4. Select Serial port COM 1 Etc Baud Rate Fixed As 115200.
5. Browse the BIN file to download and select File Type
6. Click "DOWNLOAD" first and turn the receiver power OFF/ON to download
7. After download completed ,wait another 30 seconds more until rebooting finished.
I hope this will get you all out of this misery of error8882 Attached is the loader and bin file

is there anyone could tell me i got the same problem with my starview super usb i just bought it, but it show 8882 in front, also i can not download anything frim this site, is there any reason why

i have read in a couple of other forums about this no one has totally confirmed it works so a reply from kendo would be nice.
my starview 4 came yesterday and it bricked 8882 on lcd i hope theres a fix

There are quite a few threads on it and where to get the Max232 interface.
First port of call should be your supplier, most decent suppliers will swap it and replace it for you.
hey folks i beleive there is a fix. not tried this as i bought the hardware to fix it but as i bought my s/views from hong kong the adapter is different to the uk version. anyway i will add the files i got to solve the 8882 problem here.. hope this help some of you guys. i'll need to get my soldering iron out
