saxo / peugeot immo bosch ma 3.1

im trying to remove the immo from a citreon saxo bosch ma 3.1 68 ecu part number 0 261 203 736 but cannot seem to read the 93cs46 chip. im using xprogm and reading the chip on the board ... the chip im trying to read is the one in the middle with these numbers on it 67ad b58 221 its the middle one of the 3 93 chips on the board.

never done one of these ecus before and would appreciate sum help as to if its the correct chip?? well any help at all is to how to remove the immo have seen in some other threads that you can just remove this chip from the board???? is that correct??

so remove the 93cs46 chip the one in the middle?

dont understand why i cant read it ???? the clip is contacted fine and if i try read another 93 chip it reads as it should ... when i read that chip it just reads blank??? any ideas?

Sometimes they don't like to read in circuit. Rover MEMS3 ECUs have always given me trouble. You can sometimes short out the oscillator which might get them to read, but it's easier to hot air them off in the long run.
