Transit pump code help

Hi
I have been asked to help with a problem i know nothing about

Transit fwd 02 has had a new deisel pump fitted
The owner only has one black key
I am told a red key is needed to code the new pump
What is the solution?
i am told if the pump was a recon unit it would have just learned the key

If the pump is Bosch VP type and the vehicle has Duratorq engine then key colour has no meaning for pump programming. Using Ford IDS with either coded or timed access according to how the vehicle has previously been programmed it is possible to use the 'Body', 'Security', PATS functions to program the pump, clear the RIM and pair to the PCM ECU.
Red coloured keys were only essential for the Lucas Epic FSD (2.5L older Transit) programming functions.
All Duratorq engined Transit keys have a blue chip crypto and the key colour has no significance.

On this auto you can make functional 100% with Autoboss v30. have special function for reset both ecm and fuel pump.
No code need for program.

Autoboss... ?

Read fault code in PCM for PATS fault unknown unit

Hi,
just to update.

The owners fited a new pump but the battery was flat and corrupted the self learning proceedure.

Hope this forwarns someone.
