    Default Wifi OBD2 Device

    Hey,

I'm interested in a wifi obd2 device for connecting my 07 fiesta 1.4 tdci to my iPad and using something like DashCommander for all those fancy gauges.

Ive seen cheap (?50ish) ones on eBay. Are they any good? Or should I spend the extra dough and get a branded PLX Kiwi device?

Also, what can the device do? I've heard it can clear engine lights, does that mean it can write to the ecu?

    Thanks

If you mean can the device write to the communication line, then the answer is Yes. Otherwise nothing works.
If you mean write to the memory of the ecu, then the answer is basically No, not with EOBD/OBD2. But is depends a bit on the software you use.
