    Default openbox s10 any good

is the s10 any good for your first linux box for ease of use and price with the hd, is there a good place to buy it from as there seems to be a lot of clones out there.

    thanks

imo , you couldnt get a simpler box to start out on ,
only downside for skyuk is the lack of EPG , but for somebody wanting cheap tv without the bells+whistles of a dreambox or Vu then its a cracking box , btw the s10 has hdmi only wheras the s9 has hdmi + scart
the pic quality is awesome for a budget box and outperforms some units that retail for triple the price ,
I aint sure where to buy genuine in uk, as i import my own , but i am sure somebody will put you onto a good uk supplier

Really sorry to piggyback..... can the OpenBox 9/10 be used as a server for local exchange? Can't find a clear answer? Looks like you can add a few lines, but not sure on exchanges? Any info would be appreciated.

EliteDeals.co.uk great price on these at the mo, uk based, free delivery!

Suitable for motorized but only stores 5000 channels. Epg is now an next at best. To record you can use the timer with inbuilt channel changer.
For use as a server I ain't 100% sure as I use dreambox for that

The dm800 is a good unit. Pick a clone up from China for 120 delivered,
I wouldn't say it was easy to use , but you will get help from the dreambox part of the site and plenty of well written guides knocking about
