Default Opel Zafira 1.8 cannot rev up

Hi guys i really need help. I have checked the other posts on this matter and i am dreading the worst here. I have given my yellow wire the earth supply so did i give the temp sensor and the throttle even though their earths are good. I suspect a faulty ecu but i need to have the proof to make the customer buy a 2nd hand one alternatively i will attempt to repair the ecu if it is possible or if guided correctly. Also what is weird is the fact that when you get this car running you are able to remove the key whilst its idling then it will idle on. Another thing i noticed is that with the opcom plugged in and i check my actual values the battery voltage lays at 5.1V even though the battery voltage is 12 and when it starts the battery voltage in the actual values jump from 5 to 16 to 19 to 22v , the true signs of a bad earth but where i cannot see it. Lastly here is the fault codes attached P0100
    P0352
    P0351
    P0353
    P0354
    P1540

Thats the recurring faults guys any info and help is appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Hi

Most of your fault codes are pointing towards the Ignition Coil Pack...........

Have you tried changing the coil Pack and see if it helps...........

    Thanks Ash

Just scope your coil pack and you'll know!!!

P1540 is AC refrigerant pressure sensor-circuit malfunction. HTH.

Hi thanks for the replies i will go now and check those even scope if im not convinced i built up a jig to raise the coil pack out of the normal position to check what cylinders are misfiring. Just a question here if it is the coil pack why does the vehicle idle with the key out?

    Hi
Ignition contacts are fine lights dim a bit when i remove key and brighten a little bit when i turn on the ignition but very little not major. Other than than i dont think ecu is telling the main relay or fuel pump relay to switch off therefore keeping the vehicle running . Anybodys take on that ? Does anyone have any info or willing to share for me to attempt a repair on the ecu? It says GM on it with a plastic cover aound the connectors which makes it a little thicker than the other one i got to try its a little thinner.

I had an Astra G here that the pin that goes from the ignition barrel through steering lock mechanism to the switch was half broken, have you removed ignition switch from steering lock and tried it on and off with a screwdriver

no i havent i had the steering covers off and checked like that with a test light but it only goes off when i pull the coil packs wires off/ disconnect ecu which is why i suspect a faulty ecu. Does that make sense to you?

Indeed sounds like a broken ignition switch, which keeps feeding the coils and ecu, not a fault of the mentioned devices. Just diconnect switch plug and bridge to star the engine. Then diconnect bridge and prob. engine will shut off!!.

    GOOD LUCK

the yellow wire field remedy is for the x18xe1 not z18xe, i think you have a couple of different issues here, faulty ignition switch being one and faulty ecu being the other, if you've tried swapping out the coil pack for a known good one ( don't assume new is good ), then it's 99% ecu, have had numerous z18xe's that have injector/coil faults..............
