Which is wrong. Both lines do not match Bar code

O.k. I think I found issue.... Who ever put tag on key made a mistake. The remote board I was given was 3FDA20. So when I ran on calculators it didn't match the barcode as the barcode was for circuit board 3FDA19.

i want to make my remote working. Bought a 2002 mini r50 and the remote key is not working. Found on ista and the remote is saw by car, but is not programed.

hello, again.

I successfully made a remote for mini working.

Now on another car, mini cooper 2004 cannot make it working.
I used the Paul's program to generate the codes.
In ista i insert this: ( basic: 34AFB1 / random: 34AFB0 / encrypted: FFFFFFFFFFCB504E) but it dosen't work in any case. I have tested the key, car recognize it as signal but is not correct to operate the unlocking function

Any ideea to fix it ?

P.s: before add a new remote i've checked if all 4 keys are FF.

Are you sure it's not a facelift model which requires the 3-button BMW diamond remote?

I checked the VIN and in ista car is 05.2003

so it must have the 2 button key, also i get it with that key, transponder is working and remote isn't

It could be that the battery is too weak to do the teach-in procedure after you have programmed it to the car, so always try with a brand new, A-quality battery. Also, if you try the teach in procedure while holding the remote in your hand instead of putting it back in the key case, you will affect the electronics and it won't work.

In very rare cases, I can't teach in a second-hand remote that still does send out a signal (on any car). I guess it can be broken in such a way that it still transmits a signal (or the eBay seller is putting random stickers on the PCB)

Hi,
I have a mini cooper 2004. The 4 slots for the remote full and not possible to delete any position. I tried to rewrite but always got an error message : communication failed. I use the old blue MVP. I have done lots of mini and I never had any problem before. Why not possible to erase any remote position? How can I program a new remote if not possible to delete or rewrite any position?
