Hi, got a dead F5S, and having read thru the whole of this thread, which is brilliant, im still stuck, "STB Memory error"

(IF it comes with set STB memory error please run config.bat file (Located in folder you have downloaded and unzipped) ) before running loader

Can anyone explain how to run the config.bat file successfully , then maybe i will get passed this point

    Cheers in advance

Null via usb adapter on my laptop or Null direct via serial port on my PC, same result on both

used several eprom update versions 2.0.0c and 2.0.1 and every version of .ABS i can find for original F5S and Clone F5S

but i still end up here, with the stb, also been into device manager and slowed the buffer rate right down,

    and it still wont go

so the qusetion was how do u run the config.bat file

so the question was how do u run the config.bat file........ never had to

    Use one of these loaders.....

    erom_upgrade_8Mflash.rar
    Upgrade_PVR800_HD_Tool.rar

    Firmware below..........update20150713.zip

Check your computer is using the correct com port.....see 1st photo com port

this must match this com port see 2nd photo ....
    eprom update com port

Tick boot loader & try again

You now have all you need to get the box back up & running

If everything works & then you get file mismatch you have a clone box
    which is a different firmware

    Question

    Hi P&D,

Thanks for all your help on trying to bring the boxes back to "life."

I've got an old F3 that is constantly rebooting after a recent favourites update by USB. This isn't the first time I've seen this happen either. It eventually just stays on L100. Anyway I have used the null modem cable and have managed to complete the process of reloading the software several times, but the same fault persists. Just wanted your opinion......time to give it up as a bad job? BTW I have just about every loader and all versions of the software, but none seem to cure the problem.

    Cheers,

    CrAcKeDuPII

It seems to have moved since I last linked to it.

    Here is the new link.

Read from post#65 for the solution.

Nope. It's for flashing (or dumping) the firmware only.
