Default entering the mep code into blackberry 8100

Does anyone know how I can enter this mep code correctly into my 8100 and get my bb unlocked??? I have 1 attempt left and am very nervous about doing anything. I do have the imie and the mep codes for the phone.

Before you attempt this check that you have a valid unlock code!!

1 - Go to Options Menu > Advanced Options

2 - In the SIM Card menu, hold down the shift (right of the zero, cap) press meppd

3 - You will see the unlocking level screen there you hold the ALT key (left side below @) type mepp2

4 - Enter the unlock code.

I note that you didn't wait to get your correct code in the Blackberry Unlock Code thread. One must assume that you have entered the wrong code again!

Your only solution now is to take it to a dealer who has the equipment to reset the MEP counter.

you need to find a dealer with a DM3 to reset the phone now, i cant understand why you rushed into it when you can get the codes for free on here. the codes that you get on here work 100%.

out of curiosity can you post the phones details imei and mep and also the number that you tried putting in 10times . this way we can tell you where you went wrong incase you ever want to unlock a blackberry in the future.

    regards

You could send it to blackberry.

The Mep2 code should be 1988514272429118

I would advise you to find a shop that has DM3 access & pay to have the counter reset.
After that you can enter the correct code & unlock the phone.

Once you have got it unlocked you should be shouting from the roof tops that patience is a virtue & not following site rules can cause stress & hardship

no that isnt the code to put in , that is the phones Mep code we use this to generate a unlock mep2 code from the phones mep and imei.
if you do need it to work on a different network your gonna have to sell that one and buy another second hand one.

rule of thumb if a code doesn't work first time then have the code checked again. its not worth taking to a dealer just sell it and get another. blackberry's are cheap
