Ok I'm new to vag hardware / software. But I have an ebay cable and vcds lite from this post 11 here the vcds lite is up and running Thanks Mario6... but I was just wondering what does the full vcds offer that the lite does not.... also is there a way to make my cable work with vcds?....

VCDS Lite 1.2 supports VAG cars up to 2004.


HEX-CAN (V1) interfaces with ATMEGA 162 support cars up to 2018 well and "real" HEX V2 on STM 405 chips newer than 2018.
You cannot make VAG KKL work like VCDS HEX-CAN / HEX V2.

Just buy a new HEX-CAN (Atmega 162) or a real HEX V2 (STM 405) from Alie... or Ebay. Both clone.
