Look at the big "vcds everything" thread, you can find there the aminebot tutorial for repair.
You can't make an original, since the public serials are blacklisted in software. Software update an internet connection will disable your interface.

Hello kidloco,

With VCDS chinese clone interface, you must only use the install executable that come with interface on CD-ROM.
There is a risk to block the interface if you try an another install executable.

Hi there,

New here, due to a bricked Chinese vag-com interface 11.11 :/

Made a stupid mistake. Looking to see if I can just use vag-com revival to reprogram or if I need to do much more. Sorry, I know these are noob questions.

Hello, I have a HEX + CAN DUAL-K CAN USB interface.
Unfortunately, I have used a newer VCDS software and it asked me for a FW update from 1.92 to 1.94. Now unfortunately gone Something wrong and he accepts the connection but no longer recognize the interface.
The FTDI FT Prog recognize it perfectly. Can anyone help to liven up the part to me again?

if original software used then your atmega has been wiped
you need to reprogram the interface
look inside interface and see what mcu is there if atmega your ok and can fix but if nec then best buy another
