You can either do it on line as when you switch your box on it will prompt you to update it or you can download the dash update from M$,put it on a usb stick and update it from that.

You can flash the drive to play your backed up copy of your game if that's what you mean but it's not 100% XBL safe.

cheers m8 it was the back up dash i meant, she had it done a while ago by a guy on here but think it needs redoing for her
