possible that the ecu is an old type of 6 bolt, then just flash desoldering 29f400 or will 2x PLCC32 -just open ecu
With MPPS I'm trying to read the ECU of this 2001 Audi A6 2.5 TDI 150 BHP.Whenever I click ECU Info... it says : ECU not found.I didn't find the fuse that turns off the dash.... I only found one that turns off the dash light. If someone had experience with this car... any advice will be more then welcomed.THanks

Bosch hw number would be useful to see if it is readable by OBD or not. If it is edc15 MPPS fails to read some 2.5tdi. Magpro2 read only on slow speed, also New Genius reads them fine.
reed and write in boot mode with MPPS (generetic)
more details please about VAG edc15 BOOT MODE )
If You have 29f400 chip, open in MPPS car list "generetic'', VAG EDC15 then follow MPPS instructions.
read at the banch 29f400,maybe an bad chip tune was made, with diagnostic equip. you can see your ecu?
When I click Ecu Info... it says ECU not found.
if i am correct, try with mpps,i think under audi there is a 29f400/29f800 protocol,
i had a v6 tdi passat that failed on write, with the passat picked out on the mpps....but if you look and find, there is a audi car with 29f400/29f800....i think this is the ALLROAD......you can try this in recovery and sort it from there....

@bazarre...boot mode works well on the edc15..had a customer with a passat,he tried his own write and it failed,so i did it with the audi protocol, with recovery, worked a treat...i had to try a few times to get it to work....but on the bench it did work better...
