PS Vita - System Features vs the PSP

We know there will be no UMD drive in the PS Vita, but there was hope that an external UMD reader might be developed to play the old disc-based PSP games on the new hardware. Sony has clarified that they have no plans to develop such a reader; however, it's possible a third-party manufacturer might develop such a device.
