    Default com port 1

    hi guys anyone help with this problem when i try to flash dbox with with ifa it says cants open com port 1 error code 5 is it a problem with the motherboard

    Default COM 1 stuck?

    Sorry to saythis but the same thing has happened to me and Ive aske on this forum and others with no suggestions it seems that one of the programme you(we) download causes the port to be grabbed by that programme and you can not remove it Ive tried

    Can you not change the port that you use from com1 to a port that is free?

    Have you tried Rennies Portable ifa
    It runs from Ram without installing on your PC
    May be worth a go .......Paul

    i think i have sorted the problem out i did a clean install of xp and all seems fine now
