    Question DiSEqC motor

Does DiSEqC 1,2 motor work fine with Vu+DU

I have read the following in a review:

(Our only real trouble concerned DiSEqC, certainly with a

Moteck positioner. Although there was no problem

configuring satellites during the setup phase.

the dish would fail to move when a channel on a different

satellite was subsequently selected for viewing.)

how does it work for you??

Hi. Remember if using DISECQ(or 1.2) instead of USALS you need to tune in each satellite and save them otherwise the dish will not move as it wont know where to go. With USALS the software will drive the dish. Regards.

Hi. I am not familiar with motek. I have a TM2600 motor using both USALS and 1.2 and it a works a treat. Remember always make sure that you have correct frequencies when tuning in the sats. Also when using 1.2 make sure you dont run out of space on the motor dial for example you dont want say HOTBIRD 13 EAST being saved on position 40 on your motor dial. I always keep the motor dial setting as near to the satellite position as possible. Can you not use USALS?? Regards.

The problem if anything would be the Vbox being compatible with VU, but it seems to me that all the Linux boxes outputs are similar, so I would tend to think it is a setup problem. My VU works a Vbox, and a standard positioner without any problems, or even Vbox compatible with positioner
