Galletto 1260 help reading ecu

i recently bought a galletto 1260, i dont know which driver to select to read the data for my citroen c8 2.0 16v petrol
i looked on the ecu i have a siemens S118047506 D

when i select 1AW 6LPA driver, the c8 2.0i is listed in the cars section, i have ignition on and selected ecu data to detect, it dosent find my ecu information.

i tryed a different driver IAW 48P2 and selected ecu data that read data in ecu data section 96 42 42 70 80
96 62 14 04 80
that dosent seem right tryed read ecu, but came up on my dash as ESP/ASR NOT FUNTIONING and nothing read.
i even tryed some siemens drivers and nothing works

has anybody got this working on a citroen c8, any other ideas would be appreciated,

IAW drivers are for magnetti marrelli ecu not siemens and your probably is not listed there

so how do i get the proper siemen drivers for my ecu

o.k ive been looking into it a bit more and the citroen workshop manaul says i have a magneti marelli
MM48P2, i hooked up my fault diagnostic tool and read the ecu id no. 9649477280 which i think
could well be a magneti marelli

i tryed again with the galleto and selected driver IAW 48P 2 29F400BB
press on ECU DATA got this information in the ECU Data information box on the left 96 42 42 70 80
96 62 14 04 80, i then clicked on read ecu, error came up on my dash as ESP/ASR NOT FUNTIONING and nothing read,

so do i have to open up the ecu and put resistor 2-5kOhm on pin28 with a earth lead
and then hook up my galetto to read the information?
has anybody got a diagram on magneti marelli MM48P2 locating the boot pin and any other info
which i might need on how to do this.

* Windows 7, 64-bit
* Volvo V70 Cross Country SE, Produced Oct-2000
* Galletto 1260 (with red LED on top), FT2xx USB-FTDI

I need the software to make it work.
The original SW provided to me with the cable does not work.

Does anybody know any ways I could use this Galletto 1260 I just purchased ?


I need to reset the SRS Airbag Light (Error Code 26) which turned on when I unplugged the front aircon panel to install a new car stereo.

My Volvo OBDII connector is located at the bottom/right underneath the steering wheel, just above the accelerator.

I am no expert but from what I can remember the ESP ECU acts like a gateway between the BSI and the Engine ECU. So am wondering if this is causing you the problem here.

My car has the 48PA.31 ECU and does the same thing.
Wonder what the proper reading procedure is.
I'm going to go back out to the car as soon as the laptop is recharged and give it another go, maybe with a different version of the software if there is one.
