AS A MECHANIC

As a Tech I have been offered a job for ?10 less a week, ?8 a time for myself using my aircon machine and he pays for the gas all in his time, use of a recovery truck, workshop to use on my day off, 20 days a year holiday, part exchanges, not MOT testing, no time limits-just fix the cars and no weekend working.

I knew there was something I forgot - 4 days a week

1) can you do MOT testing to stop your license expiring
2) can you afford the drop in wages?

Its for a car sales place and they want me to just get the cars ready for sale and any repairs required. Its a small workshop but has a 4 post and 2 post ramp,Ethos scanner provided. No customers to deal with,no time to work too within reason. The best thing is the guy was a mechanic when he first started out and is not an ignorant sales *****.

It sounds very good. I would go for it as long as he is willing to pay you the same ever week even when work is slow. Who is it for? I want that job (i think im about 20 miles away from you)

You might struggle with just an ethos. I used to have one and there quite limited to what they can do.

flip a coin and be prepared to put one down to experience.

Dont put off doing things until tomorrow, if you enjoy it you can do it again tomorrow.
