    Welcome to the forum.

Well I use syscheck v2.1.0 Beta 11 posted on here. There is a Beta 14 but I don't like what it tells you.

Run sysCheck from HBC and post your report in here.

Does this tell you something about why the Wii freezes when I try to run cfg loader and the coverfloader gets stuck at "Loading textures"?

Earlier today I managed to run one .iso using a USB memory stick (Corsair Flash Voyager) formatted with WBFS, it worked once, then after I put in another ISO the Wii does not recognize the USB stick at all. The CFG cannot mount the volume (yes, I put it in the slot nearest the corner), as if the usb stick is dead, but it works fine in the PC with WBFS manager...

Very low version numbers on all ios. Put that syscheck csv file into the update section of modmii and it will download all the new ios and cios versions for you. You then just install then on the wii with your wad manager

Sounds like moodmii is the app, where can I download the latest version? Seems like I have been using old links found at random by googling...

here you go Digital Kaos - Downloads - modmii 4.3.4 this will auto update to the latest version every time you run it and in turn will always download the latest ios files. After you have your system up to date you might want to have a look at http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ctions-235450/ to complete your softmod setup...That's if modmii doesn't download the full set for you anyway.

    Thank you!

Now it works 100% - I use the softloaderGX, and there is no problem, running from a 32 gb usb stick!

    Merry Xmas to u all!

    I'm glad your sorted.

softloaderGX thats a new one on me, USB Loader GX.

Now a 32GB stick won't hold much about 6 games but if your using WBFS then these are compressed more. Have you thought about getting a larger external HDD?

    Merry Christmas guys.

Hehe, yes I meant usbloader GX. :-)

The 32 gb stick was just something I had lying around, I think I will get a 2,5" external HDD, I guess the Wii USB port can supply a 2,5" with voltage via USB so I do not need another power cord...

A 2.5" external HDD should be ok but make sure its mains powered else you could have troubles with these self powered drives. It isn't the voltage 5v its the current draw and the edge USB connector can't supply that much. The other one can but you can't use that one.

As I've said before not all external drives work check out which ones do and which don't? USB Compatibility List I've added my 2 drives to that list a while ago.

As keith says. Make sure your hdd has a power lead as the wii struggles to power an hdd from the usb port. You could end up with a whole host of problems trying to run a usb powered drive

Thanks for the info, prevented me from going into more trouble :-)
I will drop the idea about usb-powered 2,5" drive, and go for an ordinary one with power lead...on the plus side, those are cheaper too...

good choice if you use the list keith linked to you will be able to find a good choice of compatible drives in whatever budget you set yourself.

Hm, now the usb loader freezes again, after I installed more iso's on the usb stick (formatted with wbfs, using wbfs manager 3.0).

When I run without usb stick, then comes "waiting for HDD: 20 seconds left" and counting down, when I insert the usb, it freezes.

To me it seems like the USB stick is not 100% compatible, a Corsair Flash Voyager 32 GB.

Tomorrow I will test using a WD Elements HDD which is NTFS formatted, and see if it works better with a real external disk drive...
