I use magpro X17 and works great.
Also the T-boot works and cost less, but you have to open ECU.

No, can be also satand alone.

ok, that probably works, but it is a professional solution and big package way too expensive for a tool used for 2-3 cars.
powergate tool is cheaper if you know which brands of cars you have.?!

when u do boot mode, do u have to connect to pads or pins on connector
