    Default Thinking of getting a PS 3 - Help / Advice needed

    Hello All,

    I am thinking of getting a blu ray player, but may as well get a ps 3 and combine gaming with a blu ray - well thats my reasoning... Haha..

    My questions are as follows;

    1- I can get a "new" unopened one from a someone I know for ?150 - it came with his phone contract. A black 160gb slim ps3,

    2- Curry's are selling new ones for ?179 - 160gb slim, or 360gb ?189

    Which one should I go for? I am not arsed about the HDD as I have a 2TB NAS.. I would like to know about the guarantee with these things? Is it best from the shop i.e. Currys, or will they just send me to the manufacturer?

    If I get the new unopened one from a friend, is the guarantee just as good from Sony?

    Look forward to the advice.

    Thanks.

    FP.

    ok best to spend the extra and get a warranty m8, you can upgrade the hdd yourself if required, the sony warranty as far as im aware, its not brand new units they send to you, its refurbs, so imo get one with a gaurantee
