Default Dell Lattitude E6520 Wirh 1D3B Bios password

I have been brought a laptop to repair, i need to Install Windows 7 again, But i have noticed there is a BIOS password and the owner has no idea what it is.. They set it and forgot what it is... Does anyone have the updated Password generator for the 1D3B Bios..... i can do all the ones upto 595B but cannot find this one anywhere....

If anyone needs help with others i am happy to help out.

Thanks in advance... i have a quite upset customer who cant use this laptop.... shame cos it looks a great one too

Hi there! I had this problem myself some time ago..

First of all, open up the laptop and take a good look if you can find the BIOS chip and there by the reset/clear pin, jumper etc
Not all models/brands have these but since this is a relative easy solution I always try it first.

If unsuccesfull... Start the laptop, get into the CMOS setup (most of the times F1, F2 or DEL) and guess the password. After three times it should give you a code. This will be 5 to 8 characters long. Write it down. And visit: Dogbert's Blog: BIOS Password Backdoors in Laptops
Read thoroughly and then download Python and the free Python scripts, and with that you can clear most of these passwords...

    Goodluck!!

    Cheers, Felix

suffix 1D3B cannot be done with the available calculators
Dogbert has cracked it but will not release any information on how to do it.
at present only option is Dell or paid website

It works because the "pay sites"?

I got my laptop on ebay. But unfortunately am not registered as the owner at Dell. The seller does not reply.

I find it sad that Dogbert not be published tool, but make sure some other tool with their money. Would he would publish it disappear these dubious sites.

Can anyone name a page when it works on every case? It is my only chance; (
