The receiver isn't linux,it uses ali tds2 rtos
Mainboard: 396MHz MIPS CPU, 128MB DDR400 RAM, Memory Clock 198Mhz, 4MB Serial Flash, Single Tuner, DVB-S2 demodulator
    mb you have clone?
    that's what I have:
    Specification
    *Chipset and Memory:
    CPU: 396MHz
    Flash: 4Mbytes
    RAM: DDR2-1Gbit

and the firmware is 4mb, where is the half?
also I guess it doesn't metter if it's linux or not currently, on those cpu you can find linux receivers too, so I guess it's solved, why not to support the idea? it will only make this receiver better

page 3 of the users manual says 128mb ddr400 ram.
    not a clone.
the sdram.ini file of the rs232 loader is set for 128mb ram.
1/2 the flash is code, the other 1/2 is FF's so only 1/2 is being used.A moot point since most code is usually transferred and runs from ram anyway.

Default How to tell if receiver is original or clone.

I'm seeing a number of Openbox receivers on Ebay. How do you know if they will be original or clones?
